Steps of lateral supraorbital approach on the left side. An oblique frontotemporal skin mark is placed behind the hairline after minimal hair shave (a). Skin and temporalis muscle are incised together (In the photograph the muscle is partially separated from the flap just for demonstration.) (b). The one-layer skin-muscle flap is retracted frontally (c). A single burr hole is placed just under the superior temporal line, and the bone flap is cut (d).
